The InkPact Printer looks simple from the outside — a compact housing you set on the ground — but the engineering underneath is what makes hands-free, consistent feedback possible. Here's what's actually happening each time you use it.

The Core Idea: The Clubface Is the Trigger

There's no button, no spray handle, no shaking required. The device is fully mechanical — no batteries, no electronics, no pumps. When you set the clubface onto the alignment bed and apply your own downward pressure, that pressure itself displaces the cartridge valve by a few millimeters, which is what releases the spray. Your swing setup does the work a hand normally would on an aerosol can.

Why a Fixed 60° Spray Cone Matters

A hand-held aerosol can never delivers the same angle or distance twice — a slightly closer pass, a slightly different tilt, and the coating comes out uneven. The Printer's nozzle is built around a fixed 60° conical pattern, calibrated to coat the full clubface evenly from a consistent 60–80mm distance. That geometry is what turns a hand-sprayed guess into a repeatable, identical application every time.

The Cartridge System

Each VT cartridge is pre-pressurized and holds a fast-drying formulation behind a high-precision nozzle with an orifice measured in fractions of a millimeter. The internal valve only opens under the mechanical displacement described above — it can't discharge on its own, which is part of what keeps the system clean and controlled rather than prone to accidental overspray.

From Spray to Mark: What Happens on Impact

Once the thin, even layer is down, you swing normally. At the instant of contact, the ball selectively removes the pigment exactly where the two surfaces met — leaving a clear mark that represents that specific point of contact, nothing more, nothing less. That precision is the entire point: the mark isn't estimated or averaged, it's a direct physical record of that one strike.

Cleanup

A dry towel removes the formula completely after you've read the mark, without affecting the clubface's grooves or finish — no solvents, no scrubbing.
